This is the same concept behind stomach binding. Another thing to think about when attempting to regain your pre-pregnancy shape is this: How you get up from a lying position? You hear baby crying in the evening and you leap out of bed by bending your abs and jumping up unsupported by your arms or hands. Not good at all. Rather of that maneuver, attempt utilizing your arms and hands to support your body weight while getting up from a lying down position. When you just spring up you are causing more stress and pressure to your already weakened stomach muscles and if you have diastasis (a separation of the lower abdominal muscles that the majority of moms have) then you are really harming those abs. Attempt to re-train yourself to get up gradually while supporting your abs. |
