The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Southern California Chapter is a proud supporter of the American Immigration Council’s (AIC) annual “Celebrate America” inventive writing contest for 5th grade students across the United States. The Chapter sponsors the native contest, which attracts participation from a whole lot of 5th grade college students from each personal and public faculties across Southern California. The creativity types of entries received range from essays, to brief tales and poetry. Local winners are honored an annual awards luncheon every summer and the highest winner’s entry is entered into the National Competition sponsored by the American Immigration Council the place entries are reviewed by a distinguished panel including U.S. Winning entries are to be printed in the Congressional Record.
