CBD is a cannabinoid, which is a chemical found in cannabis plants. There are upwards of 100 cannabinoids inside the plant, such as CBD and THC (the one which gets you high). CBD is shorthand for cannabidiol; THC, the psychoactive compound, is shorthand for tetrahydrocannabinol. Most CBD goods on the market right now come out of hemp, and it will be a variety of the cannabis plant that has less than .3% THC. (The marijuana variety, on the other hand, has a high THC count that changes based on the strain.) You'll often see it referred to as"industrial hemp" to distinguish that it's legal in all countries. |
